Hi dear friends...we are NOT in the hospital!!! We just got back into our "castle suite" at the Best Western. (It has never looked so good!!!)
We are now here for one more week. Our follow-up appointment will be either Thursday or Friday and our flight home is Saturday, October 6. Max has just settled in for a private viewing of Peter Pan (along with some Peter Pan loot he had waiting for him at the hotel, compliments of the local Disney Store (are we Baptists still boycotting that??? ooops).
Anyway, not sure how active the posts will be going forward, but I may include some pictures of Max throughout the week for his brothers and sister.
All of you continue to overwhelm us with your emails and posts. This has not been a week I'd like to repeat, but it has certainly reminded us of so many precious people and relationships God has blessed us with over the years.
PSALM 147:3 - "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Max's heart has been healed!!! Thank you God for your amazing love!!!
Here are a some pictures of us getting into the hotel a few minutes ago.

(p.s. - some of us Baptists might have not been, um, completely faithful to boycott Disney...*looks around furtively*)

Praise God for his goodness. We missed you guys in Sunday School today. I did my best attempting to take your place as the "morning" announcer. You and your family are still in our prayers. We are praying for a clean bill of health this week and a safe return home on Saturday.

As I now read posts and all the comments from friends, family, and church members, I think about how awesome it is that Max, beina a part of a household of faith, will grow up, be able to look back on this experience and see how very real God was to him through all of this and also see the the POWER of prayer! So glad his "broken heart" is healed - perfect verse, Carl!
We can't wait to see all of you when you get back home. Take care and love from Hburg :-)
He looks great! Thanks for keeping us all updated. Love, Mitch and Tara Maher
Thank you for sharing your story. As I read the scriptures you posted and the pictures of Max I was drawn in. Your precious angel is such a blessing and testimony of the grace and strength of God. My prayers will continue to be with your family. Max, your Mom's smile is full of the joy of the Lord!

I love you Max!!! Caleb
The site brings a smile to my face! Just want you to know you and your family are in my prayers - for rest - mental and physical for all; for the doctors and medical staff attending to all of your needs; for you as others see Jesus in you; for the other kids at home.
